My Latest Creative Venture

Our Story

Like many, I was laid off from my corporate job late last year. I have to admit that it didn't take long for me to turn into a fully baked couch potato. Honestly, I didn't enjoy a second of it - I am the type who thrives in chaos - boredom is not my friend. And so, scrolling Tik Tok, playing solitaire and streaming every show known to man was killing my spirit. I decided it was time to dust off my creative juju and give On a Whim another whirl.

For those of you new to On a Whim, a little background... Over a decade ago I owned a very successful handmade clothing business in New York. After moving to Florida due to some personal hardships I struggled to grow the kind of following I had in NY. Eventually I had to make the very hard decision to close the business for financial reasons and head back to the corporate world. Well, you already know how that story ended and so On a Whim was born again - this time with hats. I began by selling my creations at my local watering hole and discovered I may have just stumbled onto something (again). It was thrilling to see people LOVE the hats. As a people pleaser by nature, if you're happy then I am happy and so here we are....
